Phil's job moved us back to the South East, to Farnham, where we stayed 9 years, longer than we've lived anywhere. Matt and Alex both went to Weydon school. About this time Matt's uniquely eclectic taste in music began to develop, and to stand on the landing between Alex's and Matt's rooms was a challenging audio experience. He also started following Reading FC, whom he manfully supported through thick and thin. Matt did A levels at Alton College, forming some lasting friendships and then went to Coventry University. He quickly decided it wasn't the right course, deciding instead he wanted to study geology.
